The moon is said to be void of its course after it has completed all aspects to planets before moving into the next zone. IN SHORT, IT’S A TIME WHEN the moon is off grid, inoperative, canceled, at rest, or in-between. VOID OF COURSES takes its name and form from this lunar state.

WHAT

THE (ASTROLOGICAL) SIGNS present imaginative ways to form relationships with qualities of time. The signs are containers and images that speak to and from the month they preside over. At the start of each astrological month, a 2-hour workshops held via zoom with a focus on the images, mythologies, and associations with that sign and its quality of time. I'll prepare a presentation for each class, making connections between the astrological sign, archetypes, ancient and contemporary artwork, alchemy, and the planets, followed by 20-30 minutes of discussion and independent working/writing time. VOID OF COURSES is a chance to work on one’s own within a supportive group each month, using the astrological archetypes as curious inroads into your own work and life. 

IMPORtANT INFO

No prior knowledge or preparation required. As always with VOID OF COURSES, each class will pay special attention to voids, silences, excesses, & the hard-to-read. We'll explore the signs in syncretic and unexpected ways.
